Looking forward to U2's forthcoming album Songs of Surrender where they "re-imagine" 40 songs from their discography. Snippets from Bono's book Surrender are promising. But this, "Pride (In the Name of Love)", their first release from Songs of Surrender, is NOT reassuring.
I've never been a reader of poetry. But I do dabble here and there. As a Geographer, I am more keen on poetry related to place. I am partial to the poetic writings of Yi-Fu Tuan, for instance, though I haven't seen any actual works of poetry by him.
This is one I don't recommend. Anthony Keidis is a lifelong jackass. And a privileged one at that. Abusive of women, friends, his bandmates and, of course, drugs. I read all the way through hoping for a redeemable quality or epiphany.
